The pandemic has truly been an obstacle in relation to competitions, recitals and even in-person lessons, but we're gradually on our way back!

SEPTEMBER, 2020

I remain open for online lessons during the pandemic. Although this is far from an ideal situation, everyone can still learn and progress, so let's continue to explore and expand our pianistic achievements!

Although I can't record anyone here at my home, students continue to send homemade videos that are regularly posted on the VIDEOS page.  Keep checking in!

MAY, 2020

I'm so very disappointed that the suspension of in-person lessons means that I've been unable to prepare new recordings to add to the Videos page of this website.  All of my students have come so far in this past season that I wish I could document everyone's achievements!

I would like, however to pay special tribute to five outstanding students whose progress has been especially noteworthy (no pun intended):

APRIL, 2020

Online lessons have begun!  This is far from ideal but we must make the best we can of it.  I'm here to help everyone to continue with their musical progress - let's not allow this terrible virus to interrupt our advancement at the piano!

Unfortunately, the coronavirus situation has necessitated the cancellation of all the competitions, the Piano Teachers Guild auditions and NYSSMA.

MARCH, 2020

Piano lessons have been suspended until further notice due to COVID-19 health concerns.

We had a very productive rehearsal for our annual Student Recital.  Our rehearsals involve a complete run-through of the program to prepare for performance under pressure and help to minimize nervousness.  I'm looking forward to the actual recital in two weeks!

MAY, 2019

My wonderful adult students Ela, Bonnie, and Lori have formed a sort of Piano Support Group, playing for each other monthly to learn to overcome nerves when performing for others.  They came to my home last week and played a beautiful program of Bach, Mozart, Chopin and Scriabin , followed by a celebratory sushi lunch!  I'm so grateful to have such dedicated adult students!
